Ultimate Brew Tour

arse is outta 'er newfoundland beer craft beer tour in st. john's

We want to show you what our famous local drinking scene is all about, and there’s no better way to do it than on our Ultimate Beer Tour.

If you’ve ever wondered why we have such funny shaped beer bottles — or why we have colourful houses like the ones on Jellybean Row — this is the tour for you. We’ll take you on a guided walking tour around downtown St. John’s, all while sharing local lore and historical tidbits over a beer sample or two (…or 12).

Duration: 3 – 3.5 hours
Times: Saturday 3-6:30pm
Cost: $89 + tax
Included: Over 12 beer samples (a flight of beer at each stop!), snacks, Newfoundland Beer Drinker Certification, group snapshot, new friends, great stories, and potentially a hangover.

The Ultimate Beer Tour is perfect for everyone from first time visitors to seasoned Newfoundland beer drinkers. We keep our tours small so that it’s easier for our guides to put you into a cab and send you home at the end of the day.

The Ultimate Beer Tour is also an awesome way to celebrate a birthday, getting hitched (can you say amazing bachelor party?), or a unique girls night out. Or maybe you just want to get out and meet new people instead of constantly swiping left on Tinder.

Disclaimer: There are only 12 spots available for each tour so book EARLY! If you have special dietary restrictions, please let us know. We’d like to be tolerant of gluten intolerance, but sadly, our beer options are not celiac-friendly. We do have a special price for designated drivers, though. You’re the real hero here.

NO OPEN-TOED SHOES ALLOWED!
We will be visiting working breweries on this tour so we need to protect your precious toes! Given this, you must wear close-toed shoes on this tour. No sandals or similar footwear. Please note that we cannot guarantee you entrance to certain breweries if you do not read the notice or don’t remember.

Tour Stops

  • Yellowbelly Brewery

We’ll start our exploration of the St. John’s craft beer scene at the historic Yellowbelly Brewery, where we’ll tour the facility and taste a flight of their most popular and seasonal beers.

  • Jack Axes

Jack Axes is not only the city’s best night out, it’s also a kickass craft beer bar. While we won’t be throwing axes this time, we’ll stop in here to try a provincial flight of samples from other amazing NL Craft Breweries.

  • Mill Street Brewpub

Our final stop is at Mill Street Brewpub, overlooking Signal Hill and the city’s majestic Narrows. We’ll tour the brewery before trying out some of their local brewed in-house Newfoundland-themed beers.

*We will walk approximately 1.1 km total on this tour, which goes off RAIN OR SHINE. We Newfoundlanders don’t stop for rain or snow, so neither will our desire to drink! Stops may change without notice,

We’ll be visiting iconic pubs, hip restaurants, and historic breweries.

At the end of the tour, we highly encourage you to take part in our special Screech-In ceremony. If you’ve heard the rumour that Newfoundlanders like making out with fish, well…you’ll find out.

Disclaimer: There are only 15 spots available for each tour so book EARLY! These tours are open to all ages (children are very welcome) but we can’t serve them beer (phew. you’re relieved, we hope).
